About Us

Our Philosophy

We believe in creating the highest quality facility and environment where the trainers and the riders can accomplish their individual riding goals. The well being of the horses is our number ONE priority. We treat your horse like if it was one of ours and we treat others like we want to be treated. It’s just as simple as that.

Accomplishments

We understand the importance of listening to our boarders concerns and we have made the necessary changes to meet their expectations.  Since Equestrian Events took new ownership in December 2017, we have been committed to make the necessary changes to make Equestrian Events one of the finest training and riding facility in the Midwest area.

The three most important changes that we focus on this past year were: Turnout, Footing and Feed.

1.Turnout
We understand the importance of turnout for your horse. We believe that horses are happiest and healthiest outdoors in their pastures. Although many of the horses in our facility are in training they also need to take time to be a horse. Social and play time outside is important for their over all health. This year we have added 8 additional paddocks and 5 pastures turnout, for a total of 21 limestone paddocks and 13 grass pastures.

2.Footing
When it came to selecting the best footing in the market we took our time to do a good research. This was an investment that we knew would make a huge difference for our riders. We selected Martin Collins Equine Surfaces. They have done over 4,000 arena installations at private farms, events, international shows and FEI World Cups around the globe. They are the experts on the beneficial effects of footing on equine soundness, setting the winning standard in horse footing. Both of our arenas, the indoor and out door have this top of the line footing.

3.Feed
Horse nutrition is key to the heath of horse, and providing a quality of grain was key to our success. We select it Purina Grain not just for the quality of products, but also because of their great customer service. Gina Modica is a Purina Equine Nutrition Specialist, that visit our facility bimonthly and weight and keeps records of all the horses in our facility and meets with our customers.  But because each horse is unique, we understand that they have their individual feeding needs. Weather they need additional supplements with the grain or they need to be in a special diet of grain or hay, we will work with you to make it possible.

Environmentally Responsible
Additional to this important changes we take great pride to be one of the few equestrian facilities that are committed to Going Green.  In 2018 we install solar panels, installed a filtration water system to eliminate the plastic water bottles, we recycle all recycle material, we planted over 100 trees on our grounds and all of our manure is composted.

Commitment
In 2019 we finished the construction of our second indoors heated arena and we have continue offering high quality clinics to the equestrian community.  Some of the past clinics are:

Jan Ebeling, Shelly Francis, JJ Tate, Nataline Lamping, Jeffiner Hoffmann, Brad Cutshall, Kenny Dierks, Brad Andrews, Patrick King, Marin Kuhn and Richard Malmgren among some.

We are committed to continuing making improvements to Equestrian Events for years to come and to our vision of creating a beautiful, zen-ful, and positive environment for our boarders, guests and employees

We believe the culture of the barn is an important part of building a strong horse community. You will find a welcoming environment where our equestrian trainers, staff, and boarders all work as a team to support and encourage each other.  We invite you to take a tour of our facility, meet our team, and ask us questions.
