Anna Hallene

Independent Hunter Jumper Trainer & Rider

Anna is a dedicated and accomplished young professional who specializesin providing a thoughtful and personalized approach to the training of hunter, jumper, and equitation horses and riders.  A successful competitor in all three rings as a junior, Anna has focused on working her way into the upper levels of the jumper ring in more recent years.  As an amateur, Anna juggled both her riding and her studies at Wheaton College. During this time, she earned ribbons in both the open jumper and Amateur-Owner Jumper divisions at major horse shows, and competed in her first Grand Prix at age 20.  After becoming a professional, Anna has continued to pursue her own riding education while also competing in both the open jumper and National Grand Prix classes.

Operating her Glenwood Farm out of Equestrian Events, Anna specializes in creating programs which take into account the well-being of the entire animal – encompassing not just training, but also the nutrition, turn-out, fitness, and maintenance needs of each horse.  As both a rider and trainer, she employs an encouraging, straightforward approach with an emphasis on proper horsemanship and flatwork, clear communication between horse and rider, and on fostering confidence through positivity and consistency. Known for her creativity and ability to problem solve, Anna enjoys the challenge of figuring out the best way to help her individual riders and horses succeed according to their unique needs and learning styles.  Whether your goal be to succeed in competition, to simply further your learning and enjoy your horse, or to watch your horse learn and compete with a professional rider, Anna has the knowledge and experience to help you along the way.
