Kristen is an USDF Gold, Silver and Bronze Medalist with distinction in all three. She also has obtained her Freestyle Gold, Silver and Bronze Bars thus a recipient of the USDF Diamont Achievement award. Kristen is a FEI rider, competitor, and trainer located just outside of Chicago.
Kristen began riding at a very young age and eventually debuted in the FEI ring at 13 years old qualifying and competing at the North American Young Rider Championships aboard her own Ramses. She competed and medaled at five NAYRC, three Brentina Cup Championships, numerous Regional Championships, Festival of Champions, and the US Dressage Finals aboard numerous self-trained horses throughout the years.
Taking a very classical approach to training, all horses are in a customized training program suited to each individual horse. It is imperative that each horse is mentally and physically happy in their work and environment. Incorporating cross training such as long lining, hacking, and desensitizing, the horses remain willing and trusting in their training. Kristen has experience starting young horses as well as training horses through the FEI levels. Numerous instructors have contributed to Kristen’s education and success such as Debbie Rodriguez, Roel Theunissen, Natalie Lamping, Ken McGrath, Volker Bromman, Gerhard Politz, Jeremy Steinberg, and Colonel Albrecht Von Ziegner.
Continuing education is crucial and Kristen Becker Dressage hosts numerous clinics throughout the year with top instructors to continue the improvement in our horses and riders. Kristen is also available to travel for clinics and training. For more information call: 1-630-291-8958 or visit https://www.kristenbeckerdressage.com
